Type of Measuring Gauge
GJ Bush Factory is tier 2 supplier of many original factories. The rubber bushing we produce strictly comply with the requirements of customer drawings and will conduct a full inspection of important dimensions. For such a large-scale inspection, it is obvious that measuring with a caliper or a dial indicator is very laborious and the accuracy will be affected. This requires the production of a suitable size gauge to perform a full inspection.
In mass production, measuring tools with fixed dimensions are often used to inspect workpieces. Such measuring tools are called gauges. The gauge used to measure a smooth hole or shaft is called a smooth plug gauge. The smooth gauge is divided into two types: caliper gauge and plug gauge according to the difference between the inner and outer dimensions. Caliper and plug gauges are the same type of measurement tools, and there is a certain distinction in the application of measurement. Generally, the caliper is used to measure the size of cylindrical, rectangular, polygonal and other workpieces. The plug gauge is mainly used to measure the size of the hole, the distance of the hole, and the depth of the hole. It can be used as a Go and No-Go gauge and is an indispensable tool for standardized inspection of holes, etc. .
The size on the workpiece drawing is the limit size that guarantees interchangeability. The gauge for measuring the size of the workpiece is usually made into two limit sizes, namely the maximum limit size and the minimum limit size, namely the No-Go gauge and the Go gauge. The No-Go gauge restricts the upper limit of the thread size and the Go gauge restricts the lower limit of the thread size. Generally follow the measurement method of "Go regulation, No-Go regulation": if the thread to be tested can be screwed through with the thread regulation, and is not completely screwed with the thread regulation (the amount of thread regulation must not exceed two pitches ), the pitch diameter of the thread to be tested is qualified.
